Adam Barker, CEM, CET, MBSc
Adam Barker is a Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Certified Engineering technologist (CET) and has a Masters of Building Science (MBSc).
Adam has worked in the construction industry for over 12 years, focusing on energy modelling and energy efficiency of the built environment. He spends his time creating and overseeing energy models and related analyses.
As an energy modeller with EQ Building Performance, Adam applies his expertise in realizing energy savings and finding innovative ways to pursue ambitious sustainability targets in the Part 3 high-rise residential, commercial, institutional and industrial sectors. He provides energy modelling for compliance with Building Code, LEED and Toronto Green Standard, and acts as a 3rd party reviewer, verifying energy targets for LEED projects and incentive programs. Adam has extensive experience with EnergyPlus, eQuest, Retscreen and EE4 energy modelling software, and in depth knowledge of energy and related codes such as the NECB, SB-10, ASHRAE 90.1, and ASHRAE 62.1.
